I haven't been following it though and was wondering if any of you had and could fill us in?

Jay and Jack explained it all pretty much in the last podcast I think. Sterling Beaumont popped up at that event and talked about actuallyitsketchup.com/ And there are other little events too. It's all just away to give us hints about the last season, but without being an ARG.
