I wonder how canon these videos should be considered? they are not cannon, only what you see on the show is cannon. I like to think that these online games and Comic-Con videos serve two functions 1.) to entertain us and to hold us over until LOST returns and 2.) as an idea bank; it is non cannon however the writers may choose to incorporate some ideas into the show and make it cannon.

If Darlton said that the second blast door map from Via Domus is canon and that the Valenzetti Equation from the first ARG is canon, then who's to say....other than them...that there aren't at least some bits from these that are canon? Not all of it, sure. But I'm talking about just parts.

Are you sure the Valenzetti Equation is canon?

Lindelof himself said "the Mysteries Of The Universe thing, I think that there will be some new revelations about the DHARMA Initiative..." at Comic-Con. So I think they're using this as a way to answer the questions that they won't be able to get to in the show. So at least some of it will be canon, and it's fairly ridiculous to make the claim that only what is on the show is canon, as the producers have given outside info and stated that they were part of the show's canon at least a few times...

Are you sure the Valenzetti Equation is canon? lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/The_Lost_Experience#Looking_backDamon Lindelof: "I would say in terms of all the… background that we did, in terms of the Valenzetti equation and explaining the formation of the Hanso Foundation and doing the other films…we’d consider that stuff canon to the show."

They said that they are moving away from the DI so I guess this is their way of using all their ideas that didn't fit into the show.
"All the puzzle pieces are there, but the more we try to put them together more pieces are added to the table, an ever-expanding table, and the place setting is serving up mystery." - thats a pretty good sum up of Lost.

Agree on both counts...

to make you even more confused
Official "story-telling" outlets other than Lost episodes. This information is considered part of the story of Lost, even though it is revealed outside of the show itself. In these cases, canonical facts are revealed through a basis of non-canon storytelling; for example the information revealed in the Sri Lanka Video is canon, while Rachel Blake's ongoing story that revealed it is not.

This I know, so it is less confusing. Haha.
