I´ve been watching reruns of the fifth season and I have some questions maybe you can help me find the answers to:
Were the guys that Sayid killed in his days with Ben really working for Widmore? Was the black man that Sayid darted at the hospital working for Widmore? Why didn't Rousseau remember Jin from 1988?
Thanks!

I don't know I don't know and she never saw Jin after '88 if you really think about it Jin has never appeared in a scene in which Rousseau was in, and if he did he was in a crown or to the side on the beach, the pint is he was not noticed. I invite everyone to try to think of a time in the show other than the 88 time jump that Daniel was in a scene with Jin AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND would be able to notice him without trying to pick him out of a crowd

Yeah, after 815 crashed, Danielle never really interacted with Jin. At least not enough to be able to recognize him after 16 years. Plus, she was kinda crazy by then.
I'm more confused as to how she said she never saw the Others, yet clearly she did see Ben take Alex. Just that crazy or continuity error?

I think it was a continuity error (after all the guys behind the scene can't be infallible). On the other subject, glad that there's no certainty about who was those agents' employer. I was beginning to feel very disappointed with myself

"If you hear whispers run the other way?" That would explain why she never saw them but knew they were there.
If you think about it - it's kind of how we 1st knew they were there - Sayid hearing them while he was on his way back to the beach in "Solitary".

But she saw BEN. Plain as day. She didn't see any of the other...Others. But Ben would count.

She caught Ben in a net, so she must have remembered him from when he took Alex. I mean who would forget the face of the person who took their child?
This is what she said: DANIELLE: Our vessel was 3 days out of Tahiti when our instruments malfunctioned. It was night, a storm, the sounds. The ship slammed into rocks, ran aground, the hull breached beyond repair. So, we made camp, dug out this temporary shelter. Temporary. Nearly 2 months we survived here, 2 months before -- SAYID: Your distress signal? The message I heard, you said, "It killed them all." DANIELLE: We were coming back from the Black Rock. It was them. They were the carriers. SAYID: Who were the carriers? DANIELLE: The others. SAYID: What others? What is the Black Rock? Have you seen other people on this island? DANIELLE: No, but I hear them. Out there, in the jungle. They whisper. [Long Pause.] You think I'm insane. SAYID: I think you've been alone for too long.
I think after 20 years the truth got a bit confused. I don't think its a continuity error, I think the writers are trying to show how being alone on an island for 20 has messed her up, and I don't think she's intentionally lying.

She was there 16 years since that's how old Alex is. But yeah, still a long time.
She might have remembered Ben, but only subconsciously or partially. She thought well enough to shoot him with the crossbow, but she wasn't all "I remember him!"

You could make an argument that she did remember him. After all, she shot him with an arrow and turned him over to a torturer, telling the Lostaways that he was a liar and not to believe anything he says.
