10 Hottest Girls in Sci-Fi

So, on my blog I'm compiling a list of the 10 hottest girl characters in Sci-Fi (My GF will compile one for the opposite sex later)... But I wanted to see what you guys think... yes, Kate will be on the list.

A few rules about a girl making it on this list:

1. The role must be recurring on either a movie or TV show.
2. The character, not necessarily the actress, must be hot.
3. Fantasy movies are also included in this list (Pirates, LOTR, etc.)

#7 - Star Wars royalty... Amidala and Leia

Why they're hot: OK, maybe I cheated a bit by making these two as one entry, but I couldn't justify putting Leia any higher and, well, Padme was a bit annoying in Star Wars. Anyway, do a Google image search of Princess Leia and you'll have to sort through dozens of "Slave Leia" photos in order to get to one of her fully clothed and in her hairbuns. That is iconic. In 1983, Slave Leia WAS the male sci-fi fantasy. How can someone wearing a metal bikini kill Jabba the Hut? Also, thanks to Slave Leia, guys who attend Star Wars and comic book conventions all over the world are treated to women in gold bikinis walking around with chains dangling from their necks. As far as Padme Amidala goes, she's the hottest queen/senator in the galaxy. I mean, she is stunningly beautiful. What other senator would rope into a pit of evil alien creatures with a bare midriff and firing off blaster shot after blaster shot. That's hot. The prequels could have used more of that and less of the "Anakin, you're going to a place I cannot follow" stuff.

Nerd fantasy: Time machine. It turns out that Leia is the wrong kid and is not even related to Padme. Two on one mud wrestling.

Most of the women on the new Battlestar Galactica.
Zoe Saldana as new Uhura.
Nichelle Nichols in her day as original Uhura.
Natalie Portman as Padme Amidala.
Marina Sirtis as Troi on Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Don't know the name (haven't even watched it) but the femal lead on the new series Warehouse 13 is drop dead gorgeous.
The list goes on and on... Kate's definitely up there. Sun's not bad either. Seven of Nine. Kira. Dax (both of them). The Matrix babes, Trinity and, uh, Morpheus's ex. Sara Conner from the TV movies. Sara Conner from the TV show. So hard to choose. Each number on my list would probably be "The Women Of..." and then I'd list specific character names and the actresses who blew my mind.

Making this list is so hard... I sealed Agent Scully at No. 10 and Aayla Secura at No. 9 just because they are favorites of mine and of nerddom, but now someone deserving will be left off. Megan Fox won't be on it just because she's useless in the Transformers movies.

No. 6 is Jessica Alba for her roles in Dark Angel/Fantastic Four

Why she’s hot: Admittedly, I wanted to keep Jessica Alba off this list. Not because she isn’t hot. She is. On any other list, Alba is in the top five of hot women. But on this, she has to settle for No. 6 because of the mediocrity of her work. But I only thought about her as Max, the genetically engineered supersoldier in Dark Angel. Although there’s nothing wrong with a leather-clad Alba riding motorcycles and kicking some ass, the show just wasn’t that good. Then I remembered that she also starred in the two Fantastic Four movies as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman. And with that, she’s in.

Nerd Fantasy: Sure, this is about Jessica Alba, but I think the nerd fantasy in this is to have Reed Richards superpower. Maybe that’s how he got Sue Storm?

#5: Milla Jovovich (Alice in Resident Evil and Leelo in The Fifth Element)

Why she’s hot: The model-turned-actress-turned sci-fi goddess jumped into the hearts of fanboys with her portrayal of Leelo in the 1997 movie The Fifth Element. So fans of the Resident Evil video game series didn’t flip out when Jovovich was cast as lead role in a movie adaptation. She succeeded as a survivor of the un-deadly T-virus and succeeded in kicking some zombie ass. She’s recently accepted a role in a fourth Resident Evil movie.

Nerd fantasy:

Nerd: So, level with me. What are the chances of us, you know, hooking up?

Alice: Let’s put it this way. If we were the only two survivors in an attack with a deadly virus that spread throughout the world and the only way we could save this world is to repopulate it with our spawn, then there’s a .01 percent chance we’ll, how do you say, “hook up.”

Nerd: (About 5 minutes later) So what you’re saying is, I have a chance?

NCIS dvd boxset Season 6 has more twists and turns in it than ncis dvd Season 4 did to us. You HAVE to buy the
ncis on DVD so that you can rewind and repeat the shows just to catch each twist. And this season doesn't jerk your heart out like seasons 2-3 &4 do. Of course they always put it back. The comedy is still in the show which is part of it's appeal, along with the Gotcha enemy factor!! (Gibbs's S*** eating grin when the dirtbag is caught and they have no where to go with it!!) Not a fan so far of the spin off (NCIS seasons 1-6 dvd boxset LA) coming from this season but, maybe they can tweek it before they air their own show and not be connected with the original. NCIS complete series pilot from JAG didn't have the spirit that it has on it's own either but, you know you want the copies of it to keep things in order. Love Gibbs in Heartland which also debuts his oldest son playing a young Gibbs....Sean Harmon. Who also returns in Deliverance for the same character. Has Ralph Waite (Father from the Walton's) playing Gibbs Father. South By Southwest has Gibbs and DiNozzo on horseback and Gibbs shooting down an enemy helicopter which is priceless for the Gotcha factor. DiNozzo makes a poor horseman & returns with saddles sores which is the comedy part from the very beginning. More secrets are revealed this season, they didn't take the easy road with Deliverance that most people would have thought that they were taking. Appreciated that a lot.NCIS seasons 1-6 has to be one of my favorites. Have watched the DVR NCIS DVDS til I have nearly worn out the channel selector, yes, will be purchasing the NCIS 1-6 DVDs in Aug 2009, wouldn't want to break up the entire series I own (Including the 2 NCIS DVD's from the JAG season 8 pilot episodes), and we will get the bonus features on the DVD's which are always entertaining and informative. Also very happy they are releasing the DVD's BEFORE the season 7 return so that we can go thru and watch them all again and get caught up. You will literally discover more secrets each time you watch it.

Morena Baccarin is amazing. She was also in Firefly, which is one of those tragically short-lived shows. I plan on adding a couple of bonus girls soon and she'll definitely be one of them.
