Pre-ordered my tickets for 7:00 tonight I wasn't able to go to the midnight showing last night Has anyone seen it? Movie critics have been calling it the best Harry Potter movie yet, which really makes me excited Discuss!

I saw it at the midnight showing. I'll tag my thoughts on the movie...don't read until you've seen it unless you want to be spoiled! In some ways I liked it, and in other ways I really didn't. I'm basically just gonna concentrate on the bad here, so forgive me....
I don't like when movies don't keep to the book, but I understand a difference of medium and I can almost always forgive such changes as long as the same emotions and basic elements still exist. I feel this movie did a good job doing this at first, but as the movie went along it started to sort of fall apart for me.... The movie concentrated so much on the teen relationships...which was greatly entertaining and well-done (although Lavender was a liiiittle bit over the top at times...)...but with so much time spent on the teen drama, I expected as much detail to be spent on Dumbledore leading up to his death. That just didn't seem to be the case. His death scene felt rushed and they cut his entire heartfelt funeral from the movie. Another thing I was really disappointed to not see in the movie was Snape's retort to Harry at the end. Whenever I saw the trailers for the movie, I got chills hearing Harry shout "Fight back, you coward!" because I knew when that took place and I couldn't wait to see it in the film. But then they completely cut Snape's reply..."DON'T...Call me a coward!" That's a very defining line for Snape and they cut it. But probably more irritating than anything is d**n Bellatrix. Helena Bonham Carter is a fine actress and all, but her portrayal of Bellatrix is kind of ridiculous. I felt like her psychotic whimsy of sorts was just...out of place and too over the top. Bella is beautiful, menacing, and much much calmer in the books. I'd prefer that sort of Bella in the movie as well.
I still really liked the movie (particularly its foreshadowing of future events). I liked it more than The Order of the Phoenix. And I'll probably see it again, but it's far from the best of the HP movies in my opinion. It's just a nice predecessor in what better be the best split-in-two finale that is The Deathly Hallows movies.

I saw it last night, and I really enjoyed it. I was really impressed with Tom Felton. Wow, we never saw him much in the other movies and didn't know he wasn't such a great actor. It was also great to see more of McGonagall and Snape. We always see so much of the kid actors, this time we got to see more of the adults. I was a little aprehensive about the changes but I'm fine with them now. They didn't change the majority of the plot of the story. I really enjoyed it, and I want to go see it again. Anyone else questioning the changes go to this link and read. It made me feel a lot better about the movie. Be for warned there are spoilers for Deathly Hallows. www.imdb.com/title/tt0417741/faq

It was okay. Weak last couple of scenes, they just kind of sat there. Hermione sure got hot all of a sudden. Hear Emma and Daniel are dating really-real-world style.

I really did not think it was as bad as everyone on facebook had complained about. Yes, they did cut some things and added a few weird things but overall 8/10. FOUR THOUSAND times better than OOTP.

Being better than Order of the Phoenix isn't too hard to accomplish, haha.
That one's definitely the weakest link.
