Others afraid of the Monster/Security System

I think that the reason why the Others walks very silently in the jungle is that they are also afraid of the island security system. Because, it seems that the Monster is alerted when someone speaks loudly in the jungle.

If this is true, there are at least 3 groups of people on the island:
- the survivors
- the Others
- the Dharma people ?
