So when Richard told Sun he "watched them all die," did that mean he was observing from the jungle when the nuke went off? Perhaps just outside the blast radius, which I think most of us are correct in assuming actually zapped them all back to the present. Presumably Radzinsky and Chang (and maybe Miles, who was helping his dad) made it outside this radius and went on to their fates... It kind of makes sense that Richard would head back to the Swan after taking Eloise back to camp, just to see whether they would succeed. Just curious if anyone else has wondered about this.

Yeah, if he was telling the truth as far as he knew, then I imagine he just saw the blast and assumed the worst for all of them.

I just included this in a recent email to Jay and Jack as well but it might be interesting to see how Richard Alpert reacts if the 77 Losties are flashed forward to 2007 like so many of us think will happen. Will Richard be suspicious of these people he thought were dead? On the heels of this Locke revelation, who many thought were dead only to end up alive on the island only to end up actually being Anti-Jacob posing as John Locke?
