As our final season finale approaches regardless how this show ends (unless they pull The Sopranos.) I will be happy. If they show up right at the beginning again with Jack in the jungle, or blow up the island and they all land in Las Angeles. Or however they decide to end the show. For many reasons I will be happy.
This has been a great journey, from the first time I saw a commercial it, to the moment Jack Shepard opened his eyes in the jungle and saw Vincent. From the quote that decided my fate on watching this show "Guy's, where are we?" To my favorite Ben Linus quote, "Got any milk?" To John Locke's bizarre and questioning "So I can kill him." In the last episode before the finale.
This has been a great ride, I have never been so dedicated to a show in my life. I've stayed up late watching episodes because I had to watch them before going to bed. I've had many times at work or long drives where I think of theories and try to solve the mystery of Lost. And when I think I have it Damon and Carlton change it up on us...or someone else comes up with a better idea.
This show has given me so much. When I had a big falling out a few years ago with my best friend I was devastated, but one thing that really kept me going was Lost. It made me think about the show and not what was going on in my life. It really helped, because I wasn't constantly feeling sorry for myself. I have gotten to meet some of the people that follow Lost including Jay and Jack and all those that showed up in Raleigh and had a blast. I really hope to be friends with those that I have met for a really long time. Some of my friendships have gotten stronger because we found a common ground discussing Lost. Lost has also given me some knowledge I have started to read books I never thought about before, or heard of. I've started to read Charles richardens an inspiration thanks to Desmond. It has taught me a lot about different cultures I did not know about i.e. Egypt, Atlantis, etc.
For those complaining about little details of the show, take a step back and think about the story in a whole. Lost makes you think. It is one of the smartest shows ever put on tv. I will miss this show when it goes off the air. I feel it to be a great pleasure and honor that I have been able to witness this show. Because there might not ever be another show like Lost. Thank you Lost for everything and Namaste.
Anyone else have any good thoughts on our favorite show?
