If it does--WTF! I don't think it does, but I'm in the dark here. What's up? This is more disappointing than expose! Was this some D*sney mandated fluff filler to get the whole fam up to speed? THIS feels like good ol fashioned TV. Hope I'm very wrong. (Maybe they could have those VH1 bubbles pop up during each episode for the rest of the series so we can all be on the same page.)

Nope - not an episode as far as episodes count. ABC and the other powers that be wanted to extend the season an extra week to cash in on the May sweeps.
There are still 4 episodes left - bringing the total to 17 - which is exactly what was expected at the beginning of the season. After that - just 17 more - unless they extend it by 1 or 2 for some reason next season.

They do a recap every season.... So it's not like this is new or anything.

I find it hilarious how people are going crazy about the week off I mean, I would love it to run 17 episodes straight, and I miss LOST during the week off a lot, but it's no crazy evil thing Us LOST fans are so spoiled!

I don't like having to wait waaaaaay longer inbetween seasons than for any other show. I deal with it under the premise of having all the episodes shown right in a row each week...but this season we don't even get that. So we're still left waiting...again.
Either start the show in the fall with regular repeat weeks or no skipped weeks at all after a long wait, I say. I don't like getting the short end of the stick both ways... Dx

Spoiled?! Moi? Absolutely, BUT. I used to follow the news about Lost, but for one reason or another--and still being an itunes downloader--I have been very sheltered from the extracanonical material. It should be noted, though, that itunes does charge full rate on that recap. I have the season pass, so it's part of the package, but if you go to the Lost page and just buy it outright, it's 2.99. Not a whole lot of dough, but I wouldn't charge the same rate for the summary as for a totally new episode. That said, it was just not getting that fix (and there was no moth to be found). I kept waiting for the story of the O6 to have some weird camera pullback where all of a sudden the cast finds themselves not in Hawaii, but on the Island and then everything deconstructs from there into a Marvin Candle unfinished film project.
Anyway. More waiting.

FWIW, you can still get LOST (and other shows) in standard definition for $1.99. That's the way I go, as my G5 iMac won't keep up with high def, so I couldn't even tell if it was better.

Spoiled ...yup. And when a show goes on a break when it has promised NOT to, I tend to get sad and go looking for lost stuff. So I am really mad with the break this week cause I went looking and found out something big that I didn't really want to know. I am not gonna say what specifically, but I know a "who" and the circumstances of "how". Darn Breaks ha ha. No more spoilers for me this season, woodchucks honor WHY the break WHY WHY WHY? If you needed it to go this long into May either start it later or hey let's make another episode or two We wait long enough by golly.
