Hmm. And this guy was killed trying to blackmail widmore with the polaroids of empty graves?
I've always thought he faked it, but I dont think this confirms it an any shape because when I saw the scene it seemed at first like the guy had for some reason been killed, but had been on the way to report finding the graves to widmore, working for him.
Not that I disagree, it's just the scene wasn't conclusive in anyway other than to setup the meaning of the 3.2 million dollars (In my opinion)

I thought the dead guy was delivering the information to Widmore and was just killed from then "knowing too much" although blackmail makes more sense....

Wasn't the video like three years before? On the island? Also when did the fake flght happen. A couple months after the crash. So the information the dead guy had was 3 years old as well. |

I don't think so; the freighter reached the island about 100 days after Oceanic 815 crashed. So when Naomi recruited Miles and he heard that dead guy in the restaurant, it was prior to the three years later business, and couldn't have been too awfully long after Ben showed Jack that video.

I took it as evidence that Widmore did NOT stage the plane crash. Why would he need evidence brought to him of empty graves and receipts for a scrapped plane if he was the one who did them in the first place?

the guy bringing the paper work to widmore prob. didnt work for widmore.he was prob. trying to blackmail him, so widmore had him killed. he could be the guy in the red sox tape from awhile ago.
