Thought I'd mention this because it bothers me that everybody keeps thinking that Locke had to be told where the smoke monster was.
All he did was take Ben to the place he saw Montand lose his arm.

because he and smokey are now connected though some some of esp,or visions. smokey in his head dead or alive.

Well, I'd say more the Island is in his head, and Smokey is separate. But it's all hard to say...!

And what was the tunnel that Smokey tried to drag Locke into? The back entrance to the Temple or something? This happened way back in Season 1 or 2 where Jack saves him from being dragged under.

Were those smokey vents originally for Dharma to get btw stations, or were smokey's vents already there and Dharma just mapped them out? |

I doubt dharma was traveling down those vents instead of by van or jeep. Plus, the smoke monster probably wouldn't like that much.
