*Sigh* The podcast wasn't uploaded before I went to work this morning, so I didn't have a chance of downloading it to my Ipod.
Ofcourse- 10 minutes later when I get to work and check, todays show was uploaded. I don't have a program on this computer that can read m4a format and I don't have the admin rights needed to install one.
Is the Mp3-format up anywhere yet, or can it be streamed somewhere? I don't want to wait for it for 9 hours 'till I get home- I need something entertaining at work!

The latest podcast "Drop it Like it's Hoth" is STILL not up in MP3 format on iTunes. I don't know if it's a problem with iTunes or if it just hasn't been uploaded yet. The AAC version came up in iTunes on Monday, around 4:30 pm, so I'm feeling a teensy little bit irritated that I haven't been able to download the MP3 version yet.....
I don't have an iPod and I don't want to wait half a day for the AAC version to download with my dialup. I can't afford highspeed internet, guys! LOL!

I'm also an MP3 subscriber ... anything new yet? The last two episodes haven't been posted in MP3 versions, and the Jay and Jack blogspot site still has the "Dead is Dead" MP3 podcast up. Is there somewhere else where I can download MP3 versions of the podcast? We don't all have iPods/iTunes!

There have been 3 AAC feeds posted since the last MP3 post. I really feel left out. Since the AAC feeds are 3 to 4 times larger than the MP3 feeds, there is no way that I am going to download them on my dialup. I've Twittered about it, Forumed about it, Direct Messaged about it and I'm really getting tired of waiting..... Last I heard, when I Twittered about it, a week ago on April 24th, Jay said he was going to "get right on it" for the episode Drop it Like it's Hoth, but that was 2 episodes ago and nothing..... *sigh*

Well, the five of us that have posted to this forum are waiting patiently, I guess. That's all we can do, unless we want to download the AAC feeds for those 3 episodes, which are 3 to 4 times larger than the MP3 feeds. Just seems weird that 3 AAC feeds have gotten posted and none of those 3 MP3 feeds have..... :\

I also want to thank you for the way you compress your MP3 feed (or whatever you do to make it so small!?!?!). It makes the MP3 be about 1/5 the size of the AAC feed! I don't think anyone else's MP3s are that small, so they're worth the wait, even THIS long of a wait! LOL! Thanks guys!

Here we go again! There are two AAC podcasts out ("Follow the Leader" was posted 5 days ago and "Hey, Jack! It's 1931" was posted yesterday) and we still don't have an MP3 feed for either one of them..... It's gettin' kinda old, having to wait so long..... If only I had highspeed internet..... I'd never mess with MP3 again, but on dialup, AAC just takes waaay too long to download..... *sigh*

Thanks for getting the MP3 of "Follow the Leader" up finally guys! I really hate being such a complainer, but I gotta have my Jay and Jack "fix" each week or ever how often you post the MP3s! LOL!

I'll be glad when LOST's 6th season has come and gone so I won't have to wait for the sleeky compact MP3 feeds of The Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack to come out nearly a week after the hugely bloated AAC feeds..... Here it is Sunday, May 17 at nearly 1 pm and the MP3 for the 5th season finale of LOST still isn't out..... The AAC feed was put out at 4:08 am on Thursday..... It just ain't fair, Jay!

Now it's been almost a week since the finale. I give up. It's clear that interest in supporting the mp3 feed is waning very quickly. It may be dead at this point. It's sobering to realize how far behind the times I am, and how much one product really dominates the market. However, I really like my little, simple, cheap mp3 player, and every other podcast I'm interested in supports mp3. So I'm just going to have to let this one go, I guess.  |
