I was re-watching some episodes and found something interesting that I haven't heard previously:
Waay back in Season 1, Jack had some of the many flash backs about him & his dad in "White Rabbit". In one of the flash-backs, Christian is less than thrilled that a young Jack got into a fight at school. It seems that one of Jack's buddies was getting beaten up by a bully and Jack stepped in. It's revealed that Jack stays friends with the guy and even asks him to be his best man. Now, I thought the grown-up version of the friend looked familiar, and lo and behold, it was Zack Ward. The name might not be familiar to anyone, but I'm sure everyone is familiar with "A Christmas Story" and would appreciate the irony of Ralphie's tormentor growing up to appear on Lost, playing someone who got the crap beaten out of them as a child.
