Ok, so the way that john has experience time (thus far) has been more "constant" than others. What has been days/weeks for john, has been years for the rest of the O6. Imagine you could tell a persons age from year to year instantly....
Since John Locke has only been gone a couple days/weeks, it would seem as though he has never aged.
Now imagine this on a much larger scale. What if Richard is playing out a seperate "leader" position throughout the time periods, in the same way that John has, but from a point farther in the future than the crash of the Oceanic 815

There can be only ONE. ;D yeah could be...and who knows, the 4 toed statue could be from way in the future as well...time DOES seem to repeat itself, if we don't learn/change from out mistakes AHHHH MMMMM
