I am trying to understand the relation in time between the group on the he island and the oceanic 6. When sawyer and Juliet were On the canoe and sawyer told Juliet that he saw Kate Juliet said that was two months ago.. Now we know that was over three years in real time so here is the question Did the islanders start traveling right away and have been time traveling for three years of was it three years in real time and then they started to time travel? Any insight would be great!!

This is so funny because a friend of mine was confused about this as well. The islanders started traveling in time as soon as Benry turned the wheel. Then they started popping in and out of timelines for what may have been a few days for them, even though they went as far back as 50 years ago. Meanwhile the O6 have gone on with their lives off the island, and have spent 3 years doing so. When Juliet says that to Sawyer, she was just pointing out that it was two months from the time they started jumping, not that they have been jumping for two months.
