Jay, How come your iTunes feed is so slow to update? I have noticed a few times the podcast is up last night right after the show is on here on the west coast, but by 12:30 last night it still had not updated in iTunes. Have you been pinging itunes after you upload your aac file or are you jsut waiting for them to come by and pick it up. I need my Jay and Jack on my iphone before beddy time just in case... You can also ping the iTunes server to update your podcast information by entering the following URL into a browser: phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/pingPodcast?id=FEEDIDwhere FEEDID is your iTunes podcast numeric ID. You can also use: phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/pingPodcast?feedURL=http://FEEDURLwhere FEEDURL is the url for your feed.

Feedburner, which is what people most use to ping feeds, is being switched over to Google at the moment. The change has been in effect for a few months, but it's going to be official by the end of this month, so they've been slowly taking away different things through your account that you can re-access again once you switch your account over from Feedburner to Google. Today, when you logged in, there was an even more updated message about things that were moved over permanently and we think that's why the feed wasn't picked up for over 6 hours after Jay posted it (he posted it at 1am and kept re-doing it til 1:30am and then woke up every 30 minutes from 2am til it finally worked at 7:30am). Even after they downloaded for people who were subscribed, the latest episode still wasn't on the iTunes page itself, which Jay also suspects is because of the feedburner change. All the feeds were moved over to Google tonight, so *fingers crossed* there won't be any more problems OR waking up every 30 minutes to check it lol.
