Mikhail - Halliwax's Cameraman in the Premiere!!

Wow, so I was rewatching the premiere, and we see halliwax/pierre chang go to film the orientation video for The Arrow.

As we got a look at some of the people in the room, one of them looked familiar to me -- the guy operating the camera! I thought about it for a moment, and realized it looks just like a younger mikhail, minus the eye patch!

I don't know if there's any way to prove this, so maybe it's more of a theory, but I think that the cameraman IS Mikhail, and Mikhael was telling the truth about being a DHARMA member on the island - except of course by that point he'd joined Ben and the Others.

Anyways, go back and take a look. If you look at Mikhail and the guy side by side there is an outstanding resemblance - even the mustache and beard look the same, and the head shape. Even if they're not the same actors, I still think it's him, just a younger double.




EDIT: I just want to add that in the scene, he never speaks a word. They have a second guy there saying "Action" and "Cut". Maybe if the camera guy had said anything it would have given it away from the accent?

Yeah so Mikhael's head does seem a bit longer, but that could just be because they had to use a double.

What's funny is - for me at least - is my very 1st thought when seeing this was, "Oh hell, Sawyer's running the camera?!?!?!?!?!?"

I think you're right. Didn't Ben say something about how long and loyal Mikhail had been?
He-he, maybe he hurt his eye with the camera.

Mikhail said in "Enter 77" that he had been on the island for only 11 years... Much, Much later than the filming of the Dharma station videos.

I like the theory that it is Sawyers father, but he was dead in 1977 ish and once again the Dharma video's were copy-written in 1980.

I would watch this character anyway, because of the big and shiny wedding ring, right in the shot, makes me think it will be important.

11 years in "island time" I was originally thinking that the guy with the drill was mikhail...but not anymore...I do think it was strange how they really focused on the camera guy...you may be on to something here.

Anyone have time to go back check wedding rings??

I like it! There IS a resemblance there, and they might have put his eye behind the camera to hint at the future patch.

I'm just waiting for Mikhail to show up somewhere this season, meet Locke, and come back into the story!

But the wedding ring thing, makes me wonder if he might be Charlotte's father, with her mentioning how she can't remember her mother's maiden name...maybe the two--the ring & what she said--are subtle hints at a connection.

I think we're starting to see things that aren't there. OMG, we have been watching LOST for so long that now it's starting to affect us! We think there are shadowy figures plotting and operating against us, and nothing is a co-incidence! We can call it LIP (LOST induced paranoia)

I hope I don't get a nosebleed...

the actor behide the camara also looks like one of the figure we see in the cabin.

He also looks like a very cleaned up Sawyer (Married to Juliet???) hmmmmmmmmmm
