Aloha -
My name is Annie and I'm from Columbus, OH. I am new to the board, but have been a faithful listener of Jay & Jack's since I found the podcast at the beginning of Season 2. I used to frequent the fuselage board, but it was so overwhelming, I couldn't keep up with the amount of posts made in one day. That was when I discovered it was much easier to listen to the podcasts at work to hear what other people were catching that I missed.
I am a huge LOST fan as well. I have dozens of friends who are big fans, yet I still find the need to discuss things online. This show is so addicting and amazing, I can't stop giving anyone who doesn't watch it a hard time. It used to be much easier to convince them to rent the DVDs when there were only one or two seasons to catch up on.
Last spring my husband and I took a trip to Hawaii. We had already been to Oahu for our honeymoon, so we were planning on going to Maui. However, we knew LOST was almost entirely filmed on Oahu, so we wanted to "Go Back" just to see if we could visit any sets. We took the KOS Hummer tour up through Kualoa Valley Ranch, where the mountainous scenes are filmed. We also found directions online to many other sets, including the beach camp and the Other's village. And thanks to Ryan from the Transmission, we found out that they were filming at Hurley's mansion and drove by and saw Jorge outside on set! Most people thought we complete geeks for spending so much of our time searching the island for anything LOST. But fans completely understood.
Other than my addiction to LOST, I am a designer. In my day job I design fashion accessories & graphics for brands such as Express, Justice, Lane Bryant, It'Sugar, Thirty-One and more. I also started my own line of paper, apparel, and accessories. Please check out my link below if you have the chance.
I look forward to discussing LOST as much as time will allow.
Mahalo.
