I noticed something very interesting, with the help of TV guide, it could be nothing but you never know. So, if you look back in the episode where we see Claire and her boyfriend, we see he is an artist and his paintings are very interesting and Picasso like, we also see similar paintings on the wall of the hatch. Could Desmond and Claire's boyfriend be connected, or could these paintings hold more clues than we are able to take in? It's just an observation, but I thought I should look at it and not ignore it cause, with LOST...you never know!!

Ooooo! Idea!
Maybe Claire's boyfriend is related to Dharma. Dharma wants kids for some reason so, they send out Claire's boyfriend to meet her and get her pregnant. He dumps her when it is too late to get an abortion. He gets that lady who was going to adopt the baby, who is supposedly in the picture in the hatch, to try to adopt the baby. The lady acts all sweet and innocent until Claire refuses her offer. The Lady seems very upset by this because she is DHARMA.
I don't know, Just a thought.

Micheal's paintings look familiar to that one in the hatch, also.

Yeah. I'd hate to be looking into something on LOST and it ends up never being mentioned or turns out to be nothing, hasn't happened yet, cause well not a lot of questions have been answered yet.

True, but if you haven't looked at the whole mural, it is worth a look. I just googled it a couple months ago. Very interesting. Lots of relevant detail and I'm sure clues. I just didn't read all the commentary about it. Too much!

How long was the time between Claire breaking up with her boyfriend and them arriving on the island, like 7 months? Thats not long enough for him to be in the hatch with Desmond. From what Desmond said it seems like his partner was there for much longer. Maybe he was there before, and was released? Or this could be a huge Dharma set up, maybe he was sent from the island to get Claire pregnant so that the island would get to have her baby? Thats a pretty far stretch......
