I am having trouble with the things i bought off itunes. I purchased a lost episode and it says "The disk you are attempting is full" "removing files and emptying the recycling bin will free up some space" Ok i removed all the files in the recycle bin and there is 5.44 GB left. So i have plenty of space left so what files is it referring to when it says remove some files? Cant download the lost episode until i do that. please help

Two things: how big is the episode you are trying to download? I checked an episode I have and its about 500 MB. Second how much free space is on your hard drive? If you aren't sure how to check that, please ask (include what operating system you have such as Vista, XP or if you are using a Mac).

True, it's not easy to find the size info in iTunes for something that hasn't been downloaded, but you're probably safe to assume your episode would be similar to Danielle's estimate of 500 MB. I'd say just to be safe, make sure you have at least a few GB's of hard drive available. Even though the file size might be less than what you have available, your computer usually needs extra memory to perform tasks (like downloading your episode).
Now to actually check your disk space on XP, go to My Computer (you should see it in the menu when you click on the Start tab). Look at your C drive. The total disk space and available space should be listed next to it. If not, right click on your C drive. A pop up menu should appear. Click 'Properties'. This will show you a pie chart of how much space you have. If you're available space is something like 10GB's or less...you probably need to start freeing up space.
If you start deleting things you don't need to free up space, it isn't a bad idea to run the disk defragmenter on your C drive, especially if you haven't done this in awhile. This can also help free up a little bit of space, but it'll also take a few hours to complete.
Also, if you download quite a few podcasts, even if you've deleted them from your iPod, those files could still be sitting on your hard drive. If you have podcast episodes you aren't listening to anymore and are having to make some tough decisions, see if you can delete a few. I'm not sure if it's the same on your computer, but podcasts I've downloaded are located at My Documents>My Music>iTunes>iTunes Music>Podcasts. You can delete individual episodes of podcasts from your hard drive.
If all else fails, I don't know if this will mess up your transaction, but if you have enough disk space and still can't download, have you tried shutting down your computer completely and starting it back up? Sometimes that's just a magic cure for inexplicable errors.
Those are just a few suggestions. Hopefully it'll help. If you're still having problems, try running your error message through Google or another search engine and see if any support forums have info. on this problem.

Wow, yeah it sounds like you were close to being out of space on your hard drive...
Good luck deleting!
