I hope all of the 18+ Americans exercised their right to vote. I so wish I could, CA has good propositions this year.

Ok this is now officially my political thread.
Obama is going to be our next president. McCain has lost OH which is part of his "VA-OH-FL" triangle that he needed to win if he lost PA, which he did. Roughly 15 mins until polls here close so looking forward to that...

I am actually VERY looking forward to how CA's propositions turn out. What the hell is with a lot of states having some sort of "Protect Marriage" Act (CA, FL, AZ, etc.)? Like homosexuality is some sort of disease that will infect marriage. With a 75% divorce rate in CA, there is no such thing as "sanctity of marriage." Prop. 8 needs to epic fail, even though I'm afraid it won't.

Why is Pat Buchanan such a bitter old man? He's always grumpy and MSNBC anchors always tear him a new one until he starts repeating "no, no, no!" with no trace of logic, yet for some reason he stays on the network.

I think it's cool that we all just saw history happen...In 100 years oiur kids and grandkids will be talking about how we got to see the first black president. Just like we still talk about Teddy Roosevelt that was a President 100 years ago.

I know what you mean. And it's official - Barack Obama is the next president of the United States.
333 Electoral votes to McCain's 146.
