It seems like every issue of TV Guide seems to have Lost news and spoilers. This latest issue (Oct 20)had the following to offer:

Anyhow, that was the gist of it. Nothing earth shattering, but still interesting nonetheless.
- Juliet and Charlotte are the only major female characters on the island giving Charlotte a bigger role in Season 5
- Richard Alpert will appear early on in the season. According to Nestor Carbonell "My character starts explaining to Locke the mysteries of the island." Carbonell is also denying that his character is Jacob, but promises "a phenomenal twist".
- Charlotte's past will shed further light on the island's history. Carelton Cuse says that viewers will learn why Charlotte is trying to find the island's bears AND confirms that the skeleton of the polar bear Charlotte found in Tunisia in Season 4 is one of the island bears.
Other interesting tidbits from this article:
- When talking about the polar bears, Lindelof comments "We've seen several bear cages...but none of the polar bears are accounted for." He then goes onto joke that its a setup for an animated spinoff to be titled Lost Bears!
- Based on the above, I am guessing that Cuse and Lindelof will not only continue to joke about the Zombie Season of Lost, but Lost Bears! as well, perhaps leading to further jokes of a combined spinoff Lost Zombie Bears! This my thought, not TV Guide's.
