I just got back from seeing this movie. It was so funny. Robert Downey Jr was so funny. If the academy ever acknowleded comedies I say he definatly deserves a nomination for Supporting Actor (but it still will go to Heath.) For a while I kept forgetting that the character was him. He is so unrecognizable. Just be weary if you don't like blood, gore there is a bit in this movie. And a lot of swearing. A definate adult movie night out. If you don't want to know who made a special cameo in the movie, do not read the spoiler. But Tom Cruise was hysterical. I thought this was his funniest role to date. I was laughing through out the entire movie. All the actors did a great job. Definate 2 thumbs up.

I agree! This movie was one of the funniest Ben Stiller comedies I've seen in a long time.
It's funny that you mentioned that little ears shouldn't go see this movie. When I went--right after Tom Cruise goes nuts on the terrorists and curses them out and stuff--All of a sudden I see this little head bobbing up in the crowd and it was a little boy being taken out of the theater by a man I am assuming was his dad.....Who brings their little kid to an R movie anyways??
I don't care what anyone says---Simple Jack was hilarious. As long as you realize that this was a comedy and a satire and wasn't meant to hurt anyone's feelings then you can laugh about things like Simple Jack playing the little movies in his head when his eyes close.

Actors, Studio Producers, Koren War Vets, Directors, Black People, Gay People, Agents, Drug Lords, People Who Adopt From Other Countires, shoot they even take a dig at Toby Maguire and he's in the movie!....There's really nobody left out of the circle of offense....And it is hilarious.

Even the "differently abled." Which isn't OK... everybody else is... but not the "differently abled," unless it's the fact that they actually choose to call themselves "differently abled."

Wait. Pump the Brakes. They really call themselves differently abled? I have never heard that one.

Well, maybe just advocate groups for the mentally and physically handicapped really use it, but it is a real PC term that some people use, including the organizations that have been protesting and boycotting the film.

Hm...
I just realized that I might turn out to be the most un-PC elementary school teacher in the history of the world because there is no way in hell that I am going to refer to my special ed kids as "differently abled". And I will laugh when Ben Stiller makes fun of movies about them every time. Because if you think about it he wasn't making fun of the disabled persay but he was making fun of actors who make those kinds of movies hoping for Oscar gold.
And whooooooo...two stars!

Cheers... the worst part of the story is that the people were protesting before they had actually seen the movie, at the premier no less. Nice Heroes comment, btw... the truth is a harsh mistress.
