...SUCKS! Or at least the first 25 minutes or so do, that's all I could stomach (they held two screenings at Comic Con in Ballroom 20 on preview night). If The 4400 was "X-Files light," then Fringe is "X-Files retarded." Terrible writing, acting; strange pacing; neat but overbearing graphical text; uneven cinematography; inexplicable tension and conflict. Truly awful; I know it's just the pilot, but I won't be wasting any more of my time on this come Fall. Just my two cents... does not bode well for Star Trek (many of the same writers and producers, as a recorded message from creator and Trek director JJ Abrams pointed out).
