I hate that they take so long to release the schedule... My dad will prolly take me for one day only and I gotta make sure it's the Lost day. So I have to wait until two weeks beforehand??
It's totally gonna sell out...

Ok so I am a huge Lost fan and have heard all of this talk about Comic Con. What exactly is it? Seems to me like its a Comic Book Convention and why is that a huge venue for Lost people to go to and it seems they always have a set up there. Sorry if you think I'm an idiot for not knowing what it is just curious. Thanks.

Comic Con is held in San Diego, California every year and it originally was just a comic book convention back in the day, but now it's got everything: Trade shows, booths, comic books, movie screenings, movie/TV show promotions (last year, Dane Cook & Jessica Alba were there to promote their terrible Good Luck Chuck movie & there was a special advanced screening of the show "Reaper" for example), as well as a TON of panels, where producers, cast members, etc of a show or movie will be there. The entire cast of Heroes was there last year, as well as Damon, Carlton & Harold Perrineau who were at the Lost one (the year before, Daniel Dae Kim & Jorge Garcia were there). It's 4 days of a nerd's wet dream. Go to www.comic-con.org for more info

Comic Con is a 4 day nonstop, multimedia pop culture extravaganza. It's the largest in the world and as of late has had an attendance of over 125,000 people per day. The attendees range from those who go all out with amazing costumes to your average Joe. Many exhibits hand out free swag promoting their shows, movies, books, etc. There are also vendors for the collectors to buy key pieces for their collections. There are anime and live action movie screenings often all through the night. Many shows, not just sci-fi/fantasy, will send cast or producers to head panels. Some shows screen their pilots for the coming fall season or something for the upcoming season. For example, Lost showed the first screening of the Orchid Video. Movie-wise, they had a live broadcast from the set of Indy 4 featuring Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf, and Ray Winstone and that's where they announced that Karen Allen was reprising her role as Marion Ravenwood. They had an Ironman panel and a Blade Runner one. There are tons of panels every day, some of which overlap my favorites and I have to choose one over the other. Most of the panels at least have writers, producers or directors in person and usually several cast members, so its a great chance for fans to see them relatively up close. Plus is a great place to meet fellow fans. As I try to describe it, I find it's actually hard to encompass everything that is Comic Con in a few paragraphs. It's just an amazing experience every year that if you have the chance, I highly recommend.

Aghghg I can't believe how fast it sold out! I told my dad as soon as J&J said they would be there on Saturday, but go figure, he waited too long. So far we got one ticket on eBay (for WAY too much) and we're in the process of getting another one. Hopefully that works out. Worst case scenario is I'll be going in alone. But I'll have you guys to hang out with, right?
