I just woke up to find my iPod broken! It has a gaping black hole in it behind the screen rimmed with rainbow like colors! Like you get from the sun but the thing is it hasn't even been in the sun, I went to sleep listening to it and put it on a table near my bed in the middle of the night!
My iPod is what I rely on before a big day because I normally listen to it before I go to see sleep, and I can't get another one because I live 5 hours from the nearest city and I don't get away that often, and to make it worse my iPod is what makes those long trips pass by! NOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Now I have to listen to the podcasts on the computer which is uncomfortable and just plain boring, as I'll do things while I listen and it'll become background noise!
d**n YOU KARMA!!!!!

Sorry about your ipod. I know I can't live without mine. Since you are far from a store, can you order one from the internet? The Apple store online or MacMall.com?

That's horrible. That reminds me. I didn't have an iPod until around July of last year. I've been listening to Jay and Jack since the beginning, and I had to listen to all of the podcasts on the computer until July. You'll get used to it. I know that that sounded insensitive, but it's the cold hard truth. I hope you get an new iPod soon.

Is it just the screen that's broken, or does the iPod itself not work? Because once my screen broke, and I was able to repair it for $100. And my screen looked exactly the same as you described it.

Wow, dude, that's awful How did that even happen? Did the battery implode or something crazy like that? Maybe the warranty can help you out. You could, for the time being, by a cheapo usb mp3 player from the supermarkt/grocery store (if available) to listen to your fave podcasts. That's how I got by before my ipod touch Good luck mate!

Have you tried to reset your iPod?? All your data will be maintained, all you have to do is to press the button in the center and the 'Menu' button, hold it for about ten seconds. Good luck

I would call Apple and see how you can mail it back. I believe (not sure though) that iPods have a one-year warranty and if you send it to them, they will replace it for you.

Thanks, it's seems to have exploded somehow so theres really no chance in salvaging it right now lol. I'll look into getting one of those cheap mp3 players, I think there are some where we buy our groceries, I'm using 1 dollar head phones from there so it couldn't hurt. I'm gonna try and find the warranty or just order the new one today.
