Moving this to a more prominent part of the site at Blop's request. FYI - the adware issue was basically a javascript redirect to another page. There was a small snippet of script code that got inserted into the html source for the forum page from what I saw. I'm guessing if one were to get a virus off of this it would be the type one could get just by visiting any site with a malformed jpg or some sort of javescript exploit. (anyone interested in this stuff might read this: www.grc.com/sn/SN-142.htm at the top of the transcript they talk about using a SQL exploit to add a bit of javascript to a site to forward people to a chinese site that basically goes through all the standard attacks that windows is vulnerable on using a web browser.) This is the reason to always make sure you get the latest windows security updates - alot of these will affect you in Firefox on a PC as well. Anyway, a good warning to double check your system. JLSK
