For the second time in two weeks, somebody (other than me) has picked this movie!!! It just goes to show you that I am the one with good taste, the rest of y'all copy me! LOL On Filmspotting last week, Adam picked it as his #1 Movies About Music and has spoken highly of it before too. There are so many little moments I love: when William's big sister (can't remember her name right now) gives him her albums and puts a note that says they'll set him free, and that whole relationship is sweet, his mom, who keeps talking to everyone else while he's on the road with the band, and scares them to death in the process, William's first meeting with "Penny," and of course, on the bus, after a huge fight, the band and everyone with them spontaneously sings along with Elton John's "Tiny Dancer," as if to say everything's going to be OK! Man, I'm going to have to watch that again . . It is (right now) my all-time favorite movie. BTW, Ghostbusters II (I think) was on last night. I caught "Pleasantville" (one of my top ten!) and watched the end of GII. I don't have cable yet, so my choices, outside of Netflix or Blockbuster, are limited.

I like Almost Famous as well, eve. I just seem to be a big Cameron Crow fan.

Maybe my second or third favorite movie. The first time I saw it, it got me into music. By the second or third time I saw it - I wanted to be a journalist, something I still hope to be.

"And if you ever get lonely, you just go to the record store (or the LOST Podcast listener forum) and visit your friends. ;D And I do both, although the "record store" is less a physical place now than it used to be - at least for me. I do browse the music section of "Borders" now and then or Phil's (used record place near me) for some new CD's, but everything usually ends up on my iPod now. But most of my friends are there.

Yeah, I've seen it back when it was released, but sadly, I don't remember any of the bonus scenes. I really just wanted to borrow the cd of all the "Stillwater" music. ;D
