Hi everyone. My name is Aly and I'm a scientist in Maryland. I got an iPod for Christmas and found Jay and Jack's Lost podcast when I was looking for some material to listen to during work. After listening to a few of the Lost podcasts, I immediately downloaded the Married Man and Ramblecasts. I also started listening to the Metrobuzz and Dharmalars. I'm looking for other podcasts to put on my iPod, so I'm open to any suggestions anyone may have. I'm new to these message boards so I don't know how to do anything other than type a posting. How do you change your profile information? What is this "karma" thing? Thanks!

To change your profile you click "profile" at the top, next to logout, and then click Modify Profile. You can get an avatar from somewhere online, or upload one yourself. The biggest avatar you can have is 100 x 100. Oh, and karma's just a little system where, like, if somebody contributes well you can exalt them, and then if somebody's a jerk you can smite them. If they keep being stupid send em a PM or something, 'cause that's probably more effective. And don't take it personally if you've got low karma. You'll see people like in the hundreds which is a ton. Every once in a while there'll be a karma abuser who shows up and smites like, over and over, but don't worry about that. I wouldn't get too concerned about karma in general. People have kind of gone overboard, but it's really just for fun. Oh, and I don't know what kind of music you're into, but if you're looking for podcasts, there's an indie/alternative one I like to listen to called Untitled and Unbridled (just click the ad in my sig ;D)... That's pretty informal, just two college kids who play music that they pick out, and requests, and upcoming artists and things. And they, like, keep in touch with their fans and all that. They're sort of like Jay and Jack in that sense, except it's music instead of Lost. (Although they are Lost fans too... They'll be raving about it when it comes back. They also talk about The Office, and movies and videogames and stuff. Sometimes it feels like a Ramblecast. ) And then there's Sound Opinions, which is more professional.. Two music critics who talk about every genre pretty much, and they get musical guests all the time, which is cool. That's on soundopinions.net. So yeah, check those out if you want. Welcome to the boards, guys!
