Yet another person introducing themselves

Hey all. I guess I might as well fire off one of these posts saying hi to the community & stuff.

Anyways, my name is Mike but I've been using an on line nickname of WulfBane for several years (sometimes I tack 023 in there, but that is actually NOT Lost related and has also been with me for nearly as many years as the WulfBane name).

I got a new iPod about a month ago and decided to finally check out this whole "podcasting" deal. Short version of how I got here was I was sampling various Lost podcasts I could find and really got a kick out of the way the Jay & Jack show was done (the year 1 recap episode and how this morning's post episode cast was done really helped swing my preference)

I guess a bit more about me is that I'll mention here. One thing that is kind of funny is at work I often refer to the area I work as "the hatch". Its an approx 16'x40' smaller ray shielded lab space w/ a bunch of computers that we use for integrating SW into our HW systems that has part of it in another RF chamber and other hardware on a workbench in our part of the box. We will work on SW, get test builds from other people, or daily builds from SCM and then we got to start pushing our execute button.

It gets a bit straining stuck in there 9+ hours a day with it usually just me and the other two guys I'm stuck in there with. We all enjoy watching Lost now and when it gets a bit slow or just for whatever reason (one of the guys who has so far only seen the episodes on DVDs after he borrowed them from me), some arguments and ideas about Lost get tossed around. Often they get very funny and outrageous (and few are very serious ideas). I'll probably share a couple of the funny ideas later.

Anyways, cool podcast guys. I'll definitely be sticking around to hear more of you guys. (BTW, thanks for the spell check feature. I really need it.)

Out of all the Lost podcasts around, it's cool that you prefer Jay and Jack...I think everyone on the forum feels the same way.

Welcome- what's the 023 for then?

Thanks for the welcoming. Can't go into too much, but the software I'm working on is for missile systems.

For the premier, we couldn't get into too much yesterday because one of the guys wasn't able to watch it live and it was still in his DVR. Where we work, we get a 9/80 schedule so we get every other Friday off, which was today, so we didn't have a chance to talk today. The other guy did say that he and his wife were shocked at the amount of comercials. However, I mainly attribute that to the fact that he and his wife had only seen season 1 & season 2 after borrowing the DVDs from me. He did borrow season 1 about half way through season 2, but didn't want to try watching from the middle of 2 and just waited.

There were some "what the heck was the deal with...?" kind of reactions for what we would say. Another fun thing we were doing is talk about Ben by his real name without saying who he "was" per say. Other than it being kind of a joke for two of us to emphesise the name Ben, I think all that was really said was he did seem real creepy.

One thing that does get discused is who is the biggest jerk/worst character of the Losties. Me and one of the other guys say that Saywer is the worse because he is basically out for himself or usually things that help him out. The other guy agrees that Sawyer is bad but think that Michael is the worse and if he returns to camp, the rest would probably kill him (we think it is a bit extreme). We can't seem to sway him, but me and the other "Sawyer is the worst" guy figure that Michael is mostly just gone and flipped his lid and got so obsesive about wanting to do anything to get Walt back.

I'll try to finish up quick now (as you can see, I can tend to type a lot and my emails at work often get big too), but the 023 is just a number I picked up as "my number" because 23 seemed to show up a lot for me for at least a year and a half. I mainly tack it up to 023 because one of the connections was because one of the first divices I was working on creating at another place I worked got the part number CND-023 (it was a little network interface device). I forget what most of the other 23s were though.
