Hello everyone~
I'm new to the boards and to Jay and Jack. I just started listening to their RambleCast and I really enjoy it.
I'm a happily married mother of two and I live in Olney, MD, about 30 minutes outside of DC. A guilty pleasure is Starbucks chai latte frappuccinos (sp).
I love LOST, The Closer, Grey's Anatomy, my iPod. I've gotten lots of use out of it this year while recovering from a wicked back surgery to correct my scoliosis. Podcasts have been a great diversion while walking for exercise!

I have a couple of questions. What is the result of exhalting or smiting someone, and what do the stars signify?

Exalting and Smiting is just a fun thing that we like to do.
It really doesn't mean much, the idea is you get "Exalted" for being nice, or coming up with a good theory. And you get "Smited" for being mean.
Exalting make your "Karma" go up, and Smiting makes it go down.
Yes! you can get nagitive Karma.
You can only exalt/smite once every hour.

and what do the stars signify? They go up as you post. There are 5 levels of posting, you go up at 50, 100, 250, and 500 posts. each level you get a new title and star. Welcome to the forums Lj  |

What a warm welcome. Thank you All! I was worried about feeling intimidated by posting. There's always this feeling of being an outsider, but I think I will love being on the boards.

... let me tell you as long as we're just us two girls ... I saw a preview for "Grey's Anatomy" yesterday and I can't wait for that to begin either. There was a lot of Finn in that but some cute MerDer scenes too!
And some funny stuff but I don't want to spoil you. If you wanna check it out I posted the link in the "Save Jack's Karma" thread.
Just had to tell that someone who watches the show, too. ;D
