"The mystery of the downloadable content and pricing for Guitar Hero 2 is over: the first three song packs have been released over Xbox Live. Each song pack includes three songs and is priced at 500 points, which translates into the slightly awkward $6.25. Here is what the song packs will contain:

Pack 1

* "Bark at the Moon"
* "Hey You"
* "Ace of Spades"

Pack 2

* "Killer Queen"
* "Take it Off"
* "Frankenstein"

Pack 3

* "Higher Ground"
* "Infected"
* "Stellar"

These are all solid songs from the first game and would do a good job of rounding out the Guitar Hero 2 song list. The price of around $2 per song isn't outrageous, but it isn't generous either. I'd also prefer they allow you to buy each song alone, instead of being forced into the bundles. It's also worth noting that if you bought every song in the original Guitar Hero at this rate, you'd pay $97.92. Not exactly a compelling deal."

Songs are WAY overpriced. I was expecting something more in the price range of the current GHI value. Anyone with GHI is probably better off just getting the game back out rather than downloading these

Oh, and it is worth noting there is a petition to change the prices. Already has over 2500 signatures


On a slightely more positive note, I think pack 1 is awesome, pack 3 is almost as good, and pack 2 is decent

What did you expect? The same thing is happenening on the Wii's VC. People don't like the prices but the games still sell. I know their two different things, but its just that price...and I agree, if you're a fan of the games, I'd just get the PS2 version.

By the way, "Killer Queen" is more than decent. ;D

There was a patch released to fix the whammy bar issue. According to some reports, the patch can brick your 360. However, I downloaded the patch yesterday and played for a few hours without a problem.

I agree, that is a fun song to play. Unfortunately, all my friends overplayed it, so it lost its appeal to me

And I'm really torn between prices...improved HOs/POs would make "Bark at the Moon" SO much more enjoyable during the first solo

Someone from the official GH forum sent a petition with over 9,500 signatures (I think)

And I don't really know what to think about the patch. I've heard it was just the same few people complaining on a ton of forums. Thats good that it works for you ;D

Oh man, it is sooooo much funnn it took me a bit to really get the hang of it, but once i did...

Only problem is it's not mine...it belongs to my friend at least I'll get to play a lot.

Stuck on Jordan...again

I can't wait to finally tackle this beast of a song and get the achievement. Once you reach the Blue Note of Freedom you're good to go, but I'm still failing about 4% before it

How is everyone else doing with the game?

Currently I'm stuck on Psychobilly Freakout on Hard. I'll get it eventually! But geez.. my brother... lets just say he fails Possum Kingdom on Easy. There is no hope for him.

I'm still working on "Carry Me Home" on Medium. I've 5 starred almost everything else on Medium though.

I never did bother to 5 star Easy or Medium.. I'm just so used to playing Hard and Expert that anything below that feels so slow and it throws me off. Thats my excuse. I probably just suck, and I don't think I can get 100% on ANY song...
