What will be the top 5 games for the Wii? I don't have a clue, but maybe Matt can answer this Actually, I do have a clue, but not 5 games. I'm pretty much getting a Wii solely for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but I want to get an idea about which games I should get pumped for.

WOO HOO! Another Wii thread! Bless you, Ryan. +35 Hmm...top 5 Wii Games. Well, I'll do you one better by referring you to the TOP 10 Wii Launch pics for 11.19.06 as told by a personal idol of mine over at IGN.com., Matt Cassamassina. I know too much about the Wii because of this man, and I can't argue with him on anything that comes out of his mouth. This is an early list, mind you, so his mind may change as he sees improvement. I agree with him on where he ranked many of these games, but if you want to know more, check out the link. 1. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 2. Rayman Raving Rabbids 3. Excite Truck 4. Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz 5. NFL Madden 07 6. Red Steel 7. Trauma Center: Second Opinion 8. Elebits 9. Call of Duty 3 10. Tony Haw's Downhill Jam These are all slated to be launch titles as far Nintendo has announced. The reason I didn't add personal favorites of mine such as Super Smash Bros: Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, and Metriod Curruption is because these are not launch titles and at the earliest are slated to be released in the first quarter of next year. Even though I know this game will not completely sell the console on its own, I want to get Zelda: Twilight Princess. Miyamoto is throwing his full support behind the Wii version with the NGC version coming out in early December. So yeah, you can just tell he's not just a little biased. But with it being supported so strongly by other gamers, this one looks great. A definate must have for fans of the franchise. Ubisoft is showing loads of Wii love by being a very active third party publisher, but the game that is interesting me most is Red Steel. I've heard much about this game and that some of the people who played it at E3 thought the controls were a bit iffy. And whether it was because there were multiple Wii's in close contact to one another that was causing interference with aiming or if some controller glitch was the problem, it remains to be seen. But that was back at E3..in March. It's October now so I'm sure they've improved game machanics and graphics. I was also thinking about getting Excite Truck, being a fan of Excitebike way back in the SNES days. I think, besides Wii Sports, this one looks like a great title to play with friends/family. With the controller being utilized as a steering wheel, it adds to that real life element. I even heard of a Wii accessory that fits the Wii mote to feel more like a controller, but I think the Wiimote is enough for me. Games like Rayman and Super Monkey Ball, and Elebits are games you know only Nintendo would put out, but I'm not too hot on 'em. But I may get the Rayman one, hence my avatar. Truama Center looks very intense for all those future doctors out their. *cough* You know who you are! I want to try it on the DS version too... I'm not sure about trying out other games like Call of Duty or Far Cry, mostly because many people are being graphics snobs, but I never played any of them before so they're not ones I'm dying to buy. And if you want to see what the other Matt said about these games, check it out here: blogs.ign.com/Matt-IGN/

Noice Wii pun. I don't think we'll ever run out of these. ;D I should also add that Ubisoft is the publisher developing the Lost video game. And yes, they are planning for it to be on the Wii too. Should be out next year.

Honestly, how the heck are they going to do a Lost video game? I don't understand it. The story isn't complete yet so I wouldn't think the game would be either. Am I wrong? Maybe that's the plan so they can force people to buy the sequel to "finish the game"?

I agree, mbison. A game without a great/unfinished storyline sucks. Although I never said I would buy it, I'm interested in the concept. Either UbiSoft is in it to see how the show is going to end, or its just another marketing ploy remains to be seen. After I paid good money for the horrible Bad Twin, I'm wary to buy anything, even if it carries the Lost name. Curse you Gary Troup! I doubt ABC is going to give away anything, but I wanna see how it looks, plays, etc.

I believe Skate is a game from EA, not Tony Hawk, and I don't know if it is coming out on the wii, but I bet it is.

Ok so from what I understand. CoD is the best FPS so far? I ALMOST am going to get Red Steel and I know the control is terrible, but I heard once you get used to it it is pretty good. And, I want another game besides Zelda. Someone suggest something.
