The graphics are really cool
The battle system is very different, but its still fun
The License Board is still a little confusing, but I'm sure I'll understand it soon
Overall, I really like it ;D

Yea thats how I think, don't worry you will get used to the liscense board. I love it.
I also love the gambit system because you dont have to waste any time doing the trivial things in battle. Like healing, curing status ailments....
This game is gonna take me a long time, especially since I like to over-level everyone.

same blaw. im WAY higher than i should be for where i am, and i always do every sidequest and hunt possible ASAP. im half way through at 35 hours. how are ya doin dez? u should read the earlier posts for tips on how to put your characters. Tho im thinking of switching fran out for basch just cuz he's gunna have a lot of hp. but id use him as a tank, and i absolutely love having vaan as a speed guy as my leader, and i dont want to control some tank. ugh, decisions decisions.

Halo 3: The reason to support Xbox 360
Although I am sad I don't think I will play anymore new FFs, I can't worry about it too much.
Yea desmond that annoyed me too. But me being a perfectionist I started my game over, only like 3 hrs in, which actually turned out better than my first try. I used liscense points for stupid things.

I agree Halo 3 is a good reason. gears of War is another. Well IMO anyway. =)

Hopefully Xbox can get some good rpgs. Oblivion blew me away, and hopefully blue dragon and lost oddyssey turn out to be good. But if squeenix would port FF13 to the xbox like a year later, that would be perfect. It would never happen, but i can still dream.

Yeah the Zodiac Spear is pretty sweet. It won't be too helpful near the end, cuz you'll want faster weapons that get combos, but if you do what i did and just run past the powerful enemies and use all 7 members, with some luck you can make it to the spear far before you're powerful enough to get it, and kill everything in 1 hit. it really makes bosses easy tho, and normal enemies can rarely stand up to more than one blow for about 5 game hours

I do believe smiting is as effective as a mod. Maybe a little more.... mods can't cause emotional harm that leads to hours of therapy. Smiting rules.
