;D Hello dear forum What about your early wishes regarding what you would do for a living ? Between the age of 8-14 I seriously wanted to become a Radioshow moderator ,deeply impressed with my fav musicprogram here (there was way less chartradio on air back then in the mid 80s.) At the end of midschool (age 16ish) the job counselers were pointing me to a banking education, but that sounded so boring, I decided to get my university access grade. After graduation I was convinced my path led to a musical academy (in Vienna) and finally to the grand stages of this world When this didnt turn out as planned, I turned to psychology studies ,ending up in sociology studies with teaching aspirations for political science and Anglistics. Finally ,I noticed I couldnt stop fate from leading me to my original profession ,music production. I then went through a couple of educations from audio engineering to composition and am a freelancing filmscore composer and dance music producer today. So what about you, working folks and/or aspiring students of this board ? Any wish- I-was-a- ballerinas, firemen or veterenarians around ? oLO

Hello, when I was at primary school I wanted to become a primary school teacher because I thought they had an easy job with all the simple tests and so on. But that was more than 20 years ago. Back then there were 20 pupils at the most in one class. Nowadays there are at least 25 to 30 pupils in a class and I think teachers in general have one of the toughest jobs. In my teens I wanted to become a nurse, because I watched too much "ER" and "M.A.S.H.". But that did not work out either. So now I am a librarian and I think this job suits me very well.

I always wanted to be in a job where I would help other people, so my first thoughts were about becoming a nurse. But then I got sick myself and I had enough of hospitals and I remembered how much I loved books and I became a librarian.

I went through the I want to be a ballerina, singer, princess, ect stage. I remember wanting to be a teacher in middle school and I decided on my major when I was in 10th grade! I'm currently in my second year of college, majoring in Web Development with an unoffical minor in Application Software. We dont have minor options at my school, so I'm taking everything in the web sequence for that degree, but all my electives will teach me programming and stuff like that.

When I was three, I wanted to be a heart surgeon. Then I wanted to just be a surgeon of any kind. Now I'm trying to decide between coroner, actor, or director.

This is so funny. I asked this same question just yesterday on another site that shall remain nameless and no one responded. My 9 year old asks me this question about once a month. I always say I wanted to be a vet. Every kid wants to be a vet. Right? Then I got to thinking. When I was really young I did want to be a veterinarian but when I was older I wanted to be this... I don't know how I became this...
