now, i know its a lot easier to write down the top five moments of your life when its all flashing before your eyes, but just think about it. im sure some of them are personal, so you dont have to share them, but just make a mental list. its a nice thing to do that'll make you appreciate your life more.
ive been thinking, and its really hard to make this list. i havent lead the most eventful life, but im sure i can come up with five great things that have happened to me. theres so many good things, but nothing i could say is my "greatest hit"
i have one, but its kinda personal...

I tried to think of my "Greatest moments" but I have dificulties to pinpoint or to express them.
But I can tell you that so far I already met some awesome, sweet, nice and caring people in my life. Before I saw this thread I was just thinking about how that happens by chance.
You walk into a store ... no special reason for it except that it was near by and someone you meet there changes all of your perspectives. I am always amazed how life surprises me "just around the river bend".

I have three that I've thought of, and I can share because my life isn't interesting enough to be personal.
-Met my best friend Jessa, which led to me befriending the best group of friends a girl could hope to have in high school. Friends I still know and love today, and I always always will.
-Watched the pilot of Dark Angel. I can't list the number positive things watching this show has led to in my life. I'd be a different person. I probably wouldn't be on this message board right now, if I hadn't watched those two-hours of TV.
-Meeting the recruiter for Hamline University. We were on the way out of the college fair, and he ambushed us. It was weird, because I had this feeling in that moment, that it was a life changing moment. And it completely was.

I have one in particular. 1) Seeing my book that I wrote for the first time in a local bookstore. Kinda like Charlie hearing his song for the first time, I was so in awe of how wonderful it felt to be recognized for doing something I loved. Here is a couple more, kinda personal, so I will spoilertag them in case people don't want to read them: 2)Kissing my friend Chelsea for the first time. It was my first kiss, and just standing there, holding her close, was like something out of a fairy tale. 3)Reading "The Talisman" by Stephen King. It was that book that put the idea in my head to write. 4)Standing over my grandpa's grave, swearing to him that I would be a good person, and make him proud. 5)Typing the last sentence in my book. I remember sitting back, and bursting into tears because I had made an albeit small mark on the world.
That's pretty much it. I feel so much better letting people know these life-changing parts in my life. I hope it touches you even a little bit.

I think my biggest one was moving here to Vienna, to the farther away University. Cause it lead to all the other good things that happened in my life.
First and foremost I met my husband here. That lead me (also) to one Sunday sitting at home bored cause he had to work. And there was a rerun of LOST. We all know where that lead me to... haha
Besides Vienna and all it lead me to i have to think of the one trip to the US where i ran out of books and all the women on the travel group read Harry Potter. So I tried it. Which was also quite fatal.
I mean there are more specific things of course... but they are just special to me I think ;D

That's pretty much it. I feel so much better letting people know these life-changing parts in my life. I hope it touches you even a little bit. i like those. thats really good. i have one similar to yours, and charlies on the radio. just like most of yours are about writing, and most of charlies are about music, most of mine are about making cartoons. 1) the first time someone that i didn't know complimented one of my cartoons i did. it was a 2 minute cartoon i made out of construction paper, in a Monty python/south park type of way. i had been complimented by friends and parents, but people like that will say nice stuff because they have to. some random person that just happened to see it doesn't have to say anything. they could just walk away, but if its good, they will say something nice. 2) about a year ago, i got this award thing for being the smartest student to graduate 8th grade, with straight As, and recommendations from all my teachers. all the schools in the city had that award. there was a banquet thing held. it was stupid. all that happened was people asked us stupid questions. me having a "T" last name, i was at the end of the line of students. the guy asked all of them what they wanted to be when they grew up. they all said what felt like the right thing. "i wanna be a lawyer." "i wanna be a doctor" "i wanna be a stock broker." when i came up to the guy, he asked me what i wanted to be when i grew up. i told him what i really wanted to do. i told him "i want to be an animator" the man stared at me, and then said, "you're such a smart student. don't you want to utilize that more than making cartoons?" i replied to him with a straight face, and said "no. id much rather have a low paying job i love, than i high paying job i hate." it brought a tear to my parents eye, and made them decide to approve of my dream in life. wow. that was a long story. i dont really have any other ones. oh. wait i have one that goes back a long time 3) when i was 6 or so, i watched an episode of dexters lab one saturday morning. i dont exactly remember what happened, but at some point i laughed really hard. i, like most kids, liked to make people laugh. it was then that i decided that i wanted to make cartoons, and make people laugh, just like that show, and ive been making cartoons ever since. ok. now i have my last great hit. its a short one 4) the first time i saw a cartoon that i made that really looked good.

one that I can think of off the top of my head.....seeing the movie Almost Famous for the first time when I was about 12 or 13 - I realized then that I wanted to be a journalist when I'm older, and that also got me really into music. Which led me into politics.
