Happy Holidays to all!
I was just wondering, what (if any) holiday do you celebrate? also do you have any traditions? or what do you do for the holidays?
I celebrate Christmas. On Christmas eve we (my family) eat clam chowder (I dont, I was the only one who never liked it, plus I'm a vegetarian) then we open all the presents we got for each other. the next day my grandmother and uncle come over to my house and we open the gifts (usually not alot) that Santa brought us. that's pretty much what we do.
oh and for New years' Eve we usually go to my Church for a game night.

Christmas, Baby!
On Christmas Eve we go over to my parents' house and enjoy party food, play games, open presents, and gamble just a little. Christmas morning, we all awake to discover what Santa Claus left. He still comes even though there is only one believer left in the house (moi). Oh, yeah. Church is in there somewhere, too. Hee. Hee.

Wow, you guys open presents Christmas Eve? Lucky ducks. My mother (well, my brother and me too) is obsessed with Christmas and has created a multitude of traditions to go along with it.
On Christmas Eve we watch Nightmare Before Christmas and whatever specials they have on television for most of the day. Then at night my Mom "interviews" us about our year and films it. She's been doing that since we were born. After that, me and my Mom make cinnamon roll dough and leave it out to rise during the night.
In the morning, my mom sneeks us downstairs (without seeing the tree) and we make the cinnamon rolls and leave them to rise for the second time. At this point my mom sends us back upstairs so she can "make sure Santa didn't miss anything". So we wait until she rings this little bell she got at an antique shop before we were born, and then we partake in the bounty. ;D

Um. Well, Ramadan's done and over with, and that happened to be what I celebrated. As far as traditions go, there's that whole fasting from sunrise to sunset for thirty days deal, and usually at the end of that, we'll spend the day going from house to house of other Muslims and hanging out with them, and the kids (me included) would pick up some cash along the way.
I'm really happy with how I did as far as gifts though. *hugs Black, 30 GB Video iPod*

I got the same thing as you did Sunan. Except my Black, 30 GB Video iPod is inscribed with "Heyes--Christmas 2005" on the back. Talk about a nice surprise! She and I are far to obsessed with Alias Smith an Jones for our own good.
In addition, a very few nice DVDs (Ringers and Hetty Wainthropp Investigates: Series Two) and some GREAT books (A Portrait of and Artist as a Young Man, Atlas of Middle Earth, several selections from the brilliant John Irving and The LOST Chronicals) and several other "toy" presents. Sumo Wrestling Robots, anyone?

'Eid Mubarak' pretty much means 'Merry Christmas'.
