im doing this to learn some things myself and to teach some other people how to put pictures and other stuff in their signatures. okay... ill start it off and other people can add stuff with numbers just like in the thread why we like jayandjack.com 1) to put a picture in, you put (img) and you put the url to your picture here without spaces (/img) except with all [ and ] 's not ( and ) 's ---- everybody knows that. 2) to make a picture how you want it, you find the picture on the internet and save it to your computer (or you could just use a picture already on your computer) then you open it to paint. then you make it how you want it and save it. then you go to www.imageshack.us and upload the file. then they give you a few urls and you use the one that says: "direct link to image". to put it on your signature you then do step one. 3) in your signature box on the modify profile page, you are limited to a certain number of characters. (i think its 300 or something). To make a long url short, go to www.tinyurl.com and type in the url. they give you a shortened url that is 26 charactes (i think...) as opposed to 80 or something like that. then to put it in your signature you follow step one.

lostpodcast.proboards2.com/index.cgi?board=c&action=display&n=1&thread=2293I think this is the link you mean. One other comment. Image shack and many of the other similar image hosting sites have a upload limit on any given image you post there. The reason this is important is because on something that shows up as often as your signature, if the file is very big, you will find that within a few weeks it will die and no longer show up. I had been running into this when posting screen shots for the lost experience. My best solution to this so far was to use pages.google.com - I created a page just to host the images on. I drop the image there, publish the page, view it and copy the link to it and then can paste it in here on the forums - works very well and has no upload limit. JLSK PS it is always a great thing to be trying to help others on the forums, so if you end up having any tips or such that you uncover that are not already in the post I linked to above, let me know and I can add it on into it. Thanks!!!

Photobucket hasn't given me a problem. also, the image is saved in eveyrone's cache, and since maybe 15% of the ppl know how to clear out their cache and do it regularly, the image will only be downloaded a few hundred times. I've had no problems with using photobucket (that i know of) and ive had this same banner for a while. my bg on my xanga is hosted there and has been up since summer w/o problems, and i used to have ~20 views per day

Shinra - that makes sense. I think photobucket has a limit as well.
The lost experience page got like 10,000 hits the first week or so, so I'm sure that contributed. Also, it is by KB uploaded, so having a smaller signature file will help it last longer, while the bigger ones will hit their limit sooner...
