Ok, I'm a girl and I have a Mac. It's a beautiful thing. I've noticed that when I take it to school guys feel much more comfortable approaching me.
So, here's the question if you are a guy, have you ever used a girl's Apple Laptop as a pick up line? If you are a girl with good taste in computers and also the owner of an Apple, have you ever had a guy use this line on you? How should a girl feel when guys are talking as much to her computer as to her? Is this a compliment? Is it an insult? Should I acknowledge their good taste in technology, or do I ignore them and move my computer a few inches away?
P.S. I go to a school full of idiots. ;D Guide me people!

well my mac is one of those old i macs so i cant realy tote that around.. pluss people at my school absolutely hate macs.. except for my friends

Pick up lines should often be taken as compliments be it about computers or not. However - when the talking keeps focusing on the computer or if the guy (or girl!) talks more to the computer than to you - I'd say: don't bother listening anymore.

If a girl has a mac it means she's little more technically advanced, which is great.
I have been noticing quite the change in mac users, seems like its the trendy thing to do now. If you want to be known as smart not trendy by a Powerbook and not an iBook. A lot of girls are buying iBooks because they are cute.

when i get a laptop (which im hpeing is soon) im not going to cute or technical, im going for CHEAP! i know cheap-mac-HA!, but i have bein using them scence my mom bought us a Preformer in the mid-90s, so, i can use 'em, take 'em apart, put 'em back together and use them with effortless happieness. thats why i love macs!!! (it brings a tear to me eye) so there, yay macs!

If a guy is talking to you because he sees that you have a Mac, it means that he thinks you might have something in common with him and he wants to get to know you. It's probably better than attracting guys with very *friendly* personty clothes or the like. Just my two cents.

It's simply an easy conversation piece. The worst thing a guy can do around a girl is run out of talky. Macs stem all sorts of convo's.
