Great topic in tradition of the mustard vs. ketchup poll. Lets get a bit of a definition here. Spaghetti Bolognese=PastaTomato sauce +minced meat; sometimes building clusters would make them meatballs indeed. I wouldnt like to have the Subway meatball sauce poured over pasta imho. I`m more of a carbonara type anyways though yumm Cheers oLO

I like meat balls in spaghetti. I also like meat in spaghetti that are not in ball form... I probably like that more. But still, I like it both ways, and if you were to put either version in front of me I would eat it all. So I voted yes.

Pickett lives! I wish he didn't, but he does. Meatballs are okay in spaghetti, but ground beef stired in with the sauce works fine too.

I am missing two more options in this poll:
1.) I never had meatballs in my spaghetti so I don't know if that's a good thing or not.
2.) Dumbledore lives!

OK - what we need to have here is a definition of a "meatball". Here in America a meatball is ground beef with spices, egg and bread combined (it all depends on who you talk to about what constitutes "the spices" and "the bread". I make mine with garlic, oregano, parsley and onion powder, Parmaseano Romano Cheese and bread crumbs. Some people use stale bread soaked in milk for the "bread" and all kinds of combinations for the spices.
In strange and foreign lands like Sweden - they make tiny balls made of beef and cover them in white sauce and sell them at Ikea. In Lower Latvia they are made from ground ox meat and soaked in the local wine made from the bark of the One True Lower Latvian Snarf Bush and boiled in the milk of a deer that was traveling North. But I digress . . . .
Meatballs belong in Marinara Sauce and with the Spaghetti. Spaghetti with Meat Sauce is also very tasty. I make both - depending on how lazy I am - Meat Sauce being the lazy choice
Now if you want to drive the Europeans crazy - ask about "Spaghetti and Sausage"
;D

My opinion: Spaghetti tastes utterly horrible and disgusting w/out meatballs! Meatballs give it flavor!!...and kick!
