The Redbull Flugtag will be in Nashville this weekend. I can't wait, this looks like it's going to be a blast.
Flugtag is German for 'flying day' and basically these teams compete to see how far their man-powered aircraft can fly (fall) before hitting the water.

Nice one Sarah-J. lovely event, originated in this form in the NL though if I´m right and part of the so called "Game without limits" these (mostly )homemade sleds with wings look most hilarious. Dont miss it!  oLO |

Yeah, I went last weekend, and it was great, but so hot! (in the 90's) There were tons of people, I heard someone say 100,000. We stood on the bridge and watched from above.
The craft that went the farthest was a banjo. They played 'dueling banjos' and 'rockytop tennessee'. It broke the North American record with a distance of approx. 150 feet.
If you ever get a chance to go, do it.
