I miss snow days. I remember (back in the olden days) when there would be snow in the forecast, how we would wax the runners on our sled and would be up half the night watching the skies for snow flakes. Sledding was the best! It didn't snow a lot, just a couple of snows a year, so I guess that was why they were so great.
The only time we had to make up snow days was a year when we had two week long snow breaks due to really heavy snowfall. I think we only had to make up a day or two.

A lot of the elementary and high schools are closed around here because of the cold weather...it's like 10 below without the windchill...I unfortunately still have to walk to class in an hour.  |

The wind chill here is -11, but it feels sort of warm out. It has been SO freezing for the last few days.
Of course school wasn't canceled.
My school district from when I was younger never canceled ever, and I'm sure it would never even occur to them to close just for temperature. Last year the university closed, but there had to be about three feet of snow. It helped that the new president was from New Mexico. hehe.
Today though... It's a nice day. It's freezing cold, but it's not windy.

it doesn't snow much in richmond, and when it does, it rarely sticks. we've had 3 times this year where it snowed, the worst snow only delayed us for an hour, but i was sick |

We had a two hour delay today..Monday..due to cold weather..and they have already called another 2 hour delay for tomorrow....but no snow days yet for us either. That's ok with me...that means our Easter break will be longer |
