All of the classes at my college were cancelled today, and the school that I work at is closed too, so I am going to spend my day rewatching the first 6 episodes of Lost!
Anyone else in the midwest area have good snowday plans?!

Anyone else in the midwest area have good snowday plans?! I used to live in Milwaukee (East Side) for 8 years and I'm a graduate from UW-Milwaukee. I sometimes miss the foot of snow and the 30 below wind chill. Anyways, no snow day for me (I'm not in school anymore), but we did get hit with an ice storm. My car was incased with 1/4 inch of ice that took me half an hour to chisle out. I was out of power for more than a day, and there still is over 300,000 without power and heat. |

It doesn't snow here....But I go to Big Bear for snowboarding every winter.

it snowed today... just for a little while Here too. I don't like snow but I would like it if it was warm and wouldn't melt. I like it when it snows gently, not a blizzard with wind and coldness. A nice gentle snowfall  |

have to drive at least a couple hours to even see little patches of snow from where i am. im just wondering... if you have a snow day, do you have to make up the day that you missed?

I don't know, but I wouldn't think so. When we had those fires a few years ago we missed like a week of school and didn't have to make it up. |
