Currently in Vancouver, Canada we are having a crappy month. First we caught the tail-end of some typhoon from Asia creating minor floods, but creating a mudslide into our water reservoir. Sooo we were on a water ban for over a week, meaning you have to boil water to use it, they even suggested brushing your teeth with bottled water. THEN it started snowing! Ok, and I know what you're think oh your from Canada doesn't it snow all year round and you live in igloos? NO, in Vancouver we're excited if it slushes, and the snow lasts for maybe an hour. Anywho, it snowed, so of course people start panicking, no one has snow tires, trucks think they can overcome ice just with 4x4, etc. etc. This snow knocks out trees and thus power. 80,000 people were without power last Sunday/Monday! I'm not going to complain too much cuz I still had power but UBC (my school) didn't so I got a snow day. Both this water ban and this snow broke historical records for us, it's insanity. Is it El Nina or something this year? Thanks for listening, just needed to vent..

We really have had crazy weather the past month. Brushing my teeth with bottled water was odd. But I'm not complaining about the snow, because it got me Monday and Wednesday off last week for school. And I've been lucky because my power hasn't gone out at all, not even during that crazy wind storm. Although I was an hour late to class that day because of the stupid buses.

I don't know why people think Canada Is so different from the US, we are basically the same but better (lets not get into any arguments) But anyhow, i'm in ontario and there has been ZERO snow! This is absolutely absurd. Usually we get a lot. I love winter and this blows

I love Vancouver. It's a very lovely city. I been there several times and am always happy to go back. I am sorry about the water and for those without electricity, but snow is nice. Hope all is better now for you.

I think Canada is a fake country Shh, don't expose us. More snow in Vancouver. Lots of it. I'm going to fall behind in school before I even have my first classes of the semester.

We're actually supposed to get snow levels down to 1500 feet here. By Friday night, it is supposed to be colder than I have ever known it to be here in the 17+ years that I have lived in SoCal. They expect it to be 30 degrees F/-1 C. I have known much colder elsewhere, but not here. Kind of fun to me. Post some pictures of that snow. I would love to see it. I've seen Whistler with snow, but not Vancouver.

I'm also in Canada, but in Ontario. We have actually been having the opposite weather - not really any snow at all, which is unusual for us. I tell ya, something strange is going on... it's either global warming, or the island blew up.
