I just wanted to know how everyone would be spending their Thanksgiving next week I am sure that most of you know that I'll be going to N.C. to visit family and I'll also be cooking the meal, with some help from my Granddaughters, my favorite part of fixing the meal My youngest granddaughter has learned to make the stuffing with my help, this year she is going to try and do it all by herself It's the same stuffing that my Mother use to make. So that is one tradition that has been kept up over many years. I am really looking forward to our visit

That sounds sweet!
Well, no Thanxgiving around here. And even if I think it's a nice tradition for familied, mine wouldn't be capable to come together one day. We don't even manage it on Christmas...

I live in on campus, so I get to go home (about forty minutes away) for the weekend. And I don't have any physics homework!!! For the holiday dinner we are going to spend it with family friends about 20 minutes away. It's awesome, because we don't have to see our family on Thanksgiving, lol.
I think my favourite part is Friday, Saturday and Sunday though. I will probably spend most of the time sitting and watching Scrubs with my brother. And possibly Lost. He's indicated interest, but he's nervous because I'm such a geek.

My family always has Thanksgiving at our house and we invite a ton of relatives to get stomachaches with us.

I am going home for Thanksgiving, which is only about a half hour away from the college I'm at. My grandma is coming to stay with us and I will get to see all of my cute and hilarious little cousins. The way things are going right now the only homework I'll have to do all weekend will be to interview my cousin for one of my Education classes. Only two more days of class to make it through next week before the nice long weekend!!!

Only two days? How'd you manage that? I've got four days left... and three papers before break. It looks like you won the Thanksgiving raffel, lol.

I am going to my mother-in-laws. It's nice to go there. I don't have to do any cooking. She lets my kids spend the night the night before, so they look forward to that. It's a small gathering, but this year my husband's brother and family are visiting, so that will make my husband happy. They live close to Raleigh.
We used to have a bigger family gathering, but now much of my family has moved away and my mom and her husband leave to go visit some of them. She used to always cook a meal too. The food wasn't that great, but it was nice to be around everyone.
Although we don't get to see everyone like we used to, I am still thankful for my family. I think Thanksgiving has become a big holiday for my husband. He sleeps in, eats all day, watches football, takes a nap and then brings home leftovers.

What I wanted to say ... my Mom's not a good cook but still she makes the Christmas dinner and we eat it. It's not about the food then either but to finally see each other again.
And the presents. And the tree. ;D
"Without family Thanksgiving would just be Thursday." ... heard that just on "Ugly Betty". Cute.

Well Tammy, even though your mom wasn't a very good cook, it was still nice of her to try to make a good meal. Maybe she knew that you didn't like her cooking, and that's why she goes out of town now But I am glad that you still have fun on the holidays even though some of your family is no longer living close by

I'll probably be stuffing food into my face, talking to people on the internet, and playing PS2.
AND THAT'S THE WAY I LIKE IT! ;D

We still technically have classes the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, but my professors all decided to cancel! So yeah, I got pretty lucky with that one. ;D
