So global warming in the big issue at the moment. Tomorrow, there is a "Walk Against Warming" in Sydney. I'm all for being environmentally conscious: I have energy saving bulbs in my house; I have airators on all my taps, and when I move to a house, it's solar energy and water tanks all the way, but... WALKING against global warming?! For one thing, the cumulative heat caused by a million sweaty bodies will actually raise the overall local temparature by a couple of degrees... and think of all the water they'll be consuming, which won't help Sydney's water crisis much. There is so much arguement for/against the whole GW issue, I don't know who to believe. I'd like to walk against political and media spin with an eski full of ice cold beer, all the way to Facts Land.

I'm actually for Global Warming. The snobs in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney will rue the day they picked on this Westie. I bought a place in Granville - close to the mountains - so when sea levels rise, my kids are gonna have water views. (oh for the irony tag!)
