Hey Everyone! I'm going to Orlando in a couple months for a much needed vacation (and the hubby's grandparents' 55th wedding anniversary). As much as I love Disney I want to do other less commericalized stuff this trip. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Ha! With the price of flights that might be how I get down to Florida.

I'd go to Gatorland, but I heard it's been closed

Hate to break it to you, but finding something "less commercialized" to do in Orlando is like saying you're going to Las Vegas and want to do something besides gamble I say this with love of course (I live 45 minutes from Disney and go to school in Orlando) Don't know what your interests are, but there are some great golf courses in the area...and Mall at Millenia is wonderful if you like upscale shopping...and if you like the nightlife, the downtown area has a lot to offer

I knew that it was basically a dream to find something not really commeralized but I was hoping. I think I'm going to check out Gaterland, it sounds hokey so I bet it's fun. We did decide to go to Seaworld, the one in Ohio near us closed a few years ago and I really enjoyed going there.
