Ok, so I've been trying to get a job (in the media industry) and lately I've been attracting the eyes of unscrupulous employers who like my cv (thats 'resume' for you people on the other side of reality) and covering letter but ultimately dont give me a bloody job. I've got another interview tomorrow and I need moral support, because I'm not getting it anywhere else these days. I figure you guys are so nice you'll give it to me before each interview that comes my way until I finally do get one and you can all carry me around the room on your shoulders chanting "Hip hip hooray!". Pat me on the back, come on! And lets hope this thread doesnt last long... ;D

Thanks guys, means alot, truly. Soooo, today I hopped on the train and listened to some Jay and Jack and LO AND BEHOLD the train went past Battersea power station. So close that if I leant outside the window I could touch the walls. I looked but alas the Widmore Construction sign was gone. The actual place looks real creepy. As for the job interview, I think it went well (although they always go well...). It was a guy and gal combo attack, but they were nice so it wasnt bad. Near the end the guy brought out a blank piece of paper and a pen and I thought "ah, nuts". And he said "I'd like you to write me a brief article about anything you want. About 200 words, one side of paper, you got 20 minutes." Guess what I wrote about? An article titled "Lost in the net" and it was about Lost...in the Net. I started it off by saying how the pilot episode was the most expensive ever and hooked audiences, and how the second season will begin airing on UK TV soon and then I wrote about how its a big hit online because people want to solve the mysteries and how forums and communities have popped up and then I talked about the podcast craze and mentioned 3 of my favourites at the end for the reader to check out. Jay & Jack. LostCasts. Scott & Steve. Honestly, I cant remember much of what I wrote, but for Jay and Jack it began something like: "Jay & Jack = Two guys from north Carolina with deadpan delivery..." They said they'd get back to me around the weekend to see if I got the job or not (which is basically writing material for an entertainment website, I'd even get to go to gigs and stuff for free, woohoo). Will Cihan get the job? Will Jack come up with a theory that doesnt involve Dharma? Will Jay's next parody ad make me laugh in public attracting unwanted attention? Tune in next week...

Writing about this particular aspect, Lost and its fans, would be terribly brave with a normal job, but right at the end I read for which job you went, and it all suddenly made sense. Good luck! But why am I wishing you good luck? You can do it!

Guys....
I GOT THE JOB!
Ok, its 4 to 6 weeks long, travel and food expenses paid until after the trial period and if they like me they'll offer a proper contract. Its not what I want to do for the rest of my life, I dont want to be a film critic or anything, but its better than not working, looks good on my resume and...yay.
Thanks for the support guys, I know its the Net and nobody knows anyone but I really needed to hear some encouragement lately and you guys provided it.
*HUG*
Ok, I'm done. ;D
