was the trip to Paris a post holdiay family trip?
does your family do this trip thing every year?
were the frenchies nice or snotty?
was it romantic and wonderful and dropdead gorgeous?

The trip wasn't a post holiday family thing. Mom just decided a year ago that my brother and I needed to see the world. The only convenient time was Winter Break. I don't know when we'll be taking our next trip, but my Mom has bought a lot of books on Scotland recently...
And actually, despite the warnings of everyone and their mother, everyone was very friendly. There was one place we went where the waiters were so laidback and fun, they would just sit down at your table and talk a bit with you. It may help that my Mom lived in France for a couple of years too...
And yes, it was all of the three adjectives you mentioned. What a city! I hope you make it there someday, maybe just you and your daughter(s). I have the feeling it's a place best experienced with other ladies. My Mom was already talking about taking another trip there, just the two of us.

That was the my first trip out of the country. Florence was...just awe inspiring.
