Also - I'm half Danish, so I guess in total we are: 2½ Finns 1 Swede ½ Dane

Happy Birthday, Megalobraniac! O.K. I admit my geographical knowledge is marginal at best, but are there any other countries that are part of Scandinavia besides, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark? Now that the USSR broke up, do you count any of those countries near you? Just curious.

Scandinavia is actually (by definition) only Sweden, Denmark and Norway although Finland is often counted as part of Scandinavia. The name Scandinavia has no particular meaning for the countries - it's just sort of a name for some countries with a fairly common culture and history. Our three languages are very similar, and without studying the other languages we understand eachoter pretty well. We also have the same name for our currencies and we're all constitutional monarchies (we have royal families, but they have no power).

Well, it's still my birthday (still have another 2 hours and 20 minutes to go), but no party today. Party on Friday and Saturday. Today I celebrate my birthday by hanging out with you guys!

Thanks - it sure will be a good weekend. But probably not much hanging around on the board. But I think I can sacrifice that for some partying with great friends.
